In this interview Carsten Kratz discusses the term Big Data and the effects it will have in the future and how it can be used by German companies. Additionally, he talks about the role of owning data and using Digitalisation to improve the connection to the consumers.
Carsten Kratz has been Senior Manager and Managing Director of Germany and Austria at The Boston Group after having been elected into the management team in 2006 and has worked with a huge number of clients worldwide in industries ranging from medical technology to airlines.
Kratz studied industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt and started working for BCG in 1990 in Munich before being transferred to Frankfurt in 1992. Between 1999 and 2006 he was head of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications in Germany and recently is a member of the European Leadership Team and a member of BCG Digital Ventures Supervisory Board.
