As CEO of FreightHub, the digital Freight Forwarder, Ferry Heilemann explained to us in our interview the business model of FreightHub. Additionally, he addressed problems that the business is facing and gave an outlook on the future of supply chain.
Ferry Heilemann is truly an entrepreneur. Together with his brother, he founded the couponing portal daily deal in 2009. They sold it to Google for 114 million dollars in 2011 but repurchased the firm in 2013 to use part of it to build Heilemann & Co, which offers business intelligence services, CRM, email marketing, recruiting, and human resources services. In 2015, after DailyDeal was made profitable, they sold it to fund FreightHub. Through Heilemann Ventures, Ferry is engaged as an early stage VC-investor in Europe since 2011.
Heilemann, who was raised in Hameln, graduated with a Bachelors degree from WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in 2009.
