Otto Schacht comments on the volatility, sustainability, and the chances of start-ups entries in today's freight forwarding industry in his interview with Prof. Dr. Stefan Spinler.

Horst Joachim (Otto) Schacht graduated as a shipping agent, and started his career at Hapag Lloyd. He was chosen to be the Director for Asia and European trade, and the Area Manager for North Germany. After eight successful years at Hapag Lloyd, Mr.Schacht took responsibility of Global Seafreight at Kuehne + Nagel as Senior Vice President, and member of the Management Board. 

Today, he is the Executive Vice President Sea Logistics at Kuehne + Nagel, and well-known for his expertise in International Logistics.
